The laboratory of Dr. Roger C. Levesque is part of the Department of Microbiology-Infectiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, and is located in the Institute for Integrative and Systems Biology (IBIS), at University Laval, in Québec City. Dr Levesque is a full professor of Medicine and was founding director of IBIS from 2009 to 2017.

Dr Levesque is interested in using integrative and systems biology to study bacteria and insects. His team combines comparative genomics, evolutionary biology, phenotypic traits, bioinformatics and metadata analysis to understand the biology of bacterial infections, study new antibacterial targets and develop strategies to combat antibiotic resistance.
